Thank you, Marty, from A Stroll Thru Life for putting together this Spring Home Tour 2022. If you’re coming from Amber at Follow the Yellow Brick Home, welcome!
It’s cold and rainy here at the beach, not very spring like, but it sort of matches the way I feel about the world at the moment. I’m not sure if it feels quite right blogging about homes when millions of our fellow human beings are homeless and desperately running for their lives. I know we are all wrestling with this right now. I honestly don’t know how to segue into this thoughtfully!
So, a quick spring tour of a room I never feature, our kitchen. It needs some updating but that’s not in the cards anytime soon. I do love that the colors go with my oyster shell color scheme…but that’s about all I love about it other than the fact that I’m blessed and grateful to even have a kitchen.

The only spring outside is this yellow jasmine and I love the view from the kitchen window.

A few of my favorite things this spring…Fleur De Sel candle…it is clean and fresh and smells just like you’re standing on the seashore.

Three more of my favorite kitchen “things”. This roll-up over the sink dish drying rack, these Williams-Sonoma white dish cloths, and these Swedish dish cloths. that take the place of paper towels. I linked them just for fun, I get no compensation for recommending them.

My favorite spring dish… pasta and fresh veggies over arugula with garlic dressing. You don’t even need a recipe. Super easy, clean, and vegan!
Thank you so much for spending time at Quarters One. Head over to Julie at My Wee Abode, she shares so many wonderful ideas!
In case you missed it and you’d like a little more distraction…and don’t forget to set your clocks forward this weekend!

I love all of the spring touches in your kitchen. It looks so welcoming and warm! My kitchen counters get cluttered so easily. You have inspired me to get that cleared up. Your kitchen looks lovely.
I cannot even imagine what the other side of the world is going through but I’m praying for them and like you am grateful for a home and security. You’ve decorated your kitchen beautifully even though you don’t love it. We have a kitchen that needs to be updated as well and I struggle with our wall color the most. Right now it’s a bright Tiffany Box blue. Before that a barn red. I know – I was dealing with ugly dog puke gold walls and trying to brighten things up. Anyway, thank you for sharing your heart and your spring tour. Those little pink glasses are fantastic! Where did you get them? Glad to have hopped with you this week. Oh and thanks for the reminder about the clocks – I had no idea!
Thank you, Cindy! The glasses (actually they are plastic!) came from Homegoods a few weeks ago!
Love the cottage and such a fun tour. That pasta salad sounds amazing too. I might need to make one tonight. Thanks so much for joining the tour again this season, always so fun to have you as part of the group.
Thank you, so much, for including me!!
I know it’s so hard to talk about how we like to make our homes beautiful at such a difficult time. I’m sending you love, as I think we all need it! I also think your kitchen is so charming from what I can see, I love the cottage vibe it has and I love the color of your cabinets! Your styling is beautiful and thoughtful! I hope you get some sunshine! Happy Spring! xo
Firstly, thank you for acknowledging the pain and suffering of others. We are all so blessed and should be grateful for just have a safe dwelling place. I was getting stressed out about stupid things like not having a door mat in time for this tour. Ugh. I feel like silly. Your reminder puts things in perspective.
Your home seems like a calming sanctuary during these troubled times. I love the fresh, bright and airy spring vibes! We are going to the beach in 2 weeks and I can hardly wait. Planning to retire near the coast in less than ten years so we are doing some extra visits throughout the year during different seasons to get accustomed to what to expect when it’s not perfect summer beach weather. NC can have some cool temps and very dreary days this time of year too.
Beautiful and inspriational tour! Happy spring!
What an absolutely charming cottage. The pasta looks delicious! So happy to be on tour with you!
Thank you, Laura!!
I know what you mean about blogging when so much is going on in the world. Though, I think having an escape from it all is important. Your home has such a fresh yet peaceful vibe. I love your vignettes and your pretty plants and accessories. Great touring with you!
Shelley
Thanks, Shelley!!
Sometimes it is hard to get in the mood to decorate for spring when the weather is gloomy and the terrible things in the world are looming over us. Adding those few things like flowers just like you’ve done does boost our mood! Glad to be touring with you!!
So true!!
This is amazing! I would love it if you would share it on the Fabulous Friday Link Party this Friday, and every Friday after that. You can find the link on my website. Hugs and blessings to you.
Everything is so beautiful and I can’t wait to try that Summer dish! It looks amazing!
Thank you, Kristin!!
